Hi there, and welcome to the Engineering and Leadership blog! My name is Pat Sweet. First and foremost, I want to welcome you to my blog. I’m really, really honoured that you’ve come. Thank you so much!
Since this is your first time here, I wanted to take a moment to orient you to the site. Blogs can be confusing and disorganized sometimes, so I wanted to make sure you knew where to go and what all there was to see.
My goal here for the blog is to help engineers like you get the most out of their career. I want to help you be awesome at engineering. For the most part, I do that by sharing my own experiences and teaching “soft” skills like leadership, communication skills, productivity and the like.
If that sounds like your kind of thing – great! You’ve come to the right place. To get you started, I suggest you read these articles first:
- Meet Pat Sweet
- The Ultimate Leadership Development Plan
- How to Write an Email
- The Engineer’s Dilemma: How to do Nothing
- 6 Productivity Hacks to Improve Your Efficiency
- Engineering Design Integration
- 4 Engineering Lessons I learned from my Puppy
These should be enough to get you started on the site and give you a taste of what kinds of things I write about.
If you liked the above articles, I highly recommend you sign up for my free newsletter. That’s definitely the best way to keep in touch and abreast of what’s going on on the site. I also give newsletter subscribers exclusive content that you can’t get anywhere on the site, so that’s pretty sweet too. You can sign up using the form on the right hand side of this page under “Sign up!” or going going to my sign up page.
Thanks again for coming by! I hope you enjoy, and that I’ll be hearing from you soon!
